Feedback

My feedback that I received states that the film has a much more creepy vibe and phycological horror traits rather than a scary horror film that causes jump scares which suggests to me it may be suitable for a younger audience as well as older. Even though there is violence at the end of the film, it cuts out before you see any gore and blood which makes the film more suitable for younger people. The first person camera angle adds a lot of tension but doesn't lead to a jump scare which could have increase the age rating.

Proposed Classification

The BBFC are a group of people who give films that are released in the UK a rating of which is used to tell viewers what age you should be to watch the film. BBFC stands for British Board of Film Classification. They look at issues such as discrimination, drugs, horror, dangerous and easily imitable behaviour, language, nudity, sex, and violence when making decisions. All these things are sensitive to children under the age of 12 and this is why there is a 12A rating which is where the sensitive issues start to occur in movies. Based on my feedback I would give my film a 12 age rating because it has a subtle phycological horror theme than a physically violent horror theme. It could be a 12A due to the phycological horror aspect because children at that age are more vulnerable to being affected.
