Editing Audio

I chose the footstep sound that I liked the most and used it throughout the film but I would edit each one individually to fit the speed and fit it to what it should sound like in the certain location.

I edited the reverb, volume and amount of reverb to create the correct thump of the area the actors are walking in and to match the atmosphere.
I have added my atmospheric sound to the edit. I had one atmospheric sound for the kitchen which has the clicking of the clock and an atmospheric sound for the corridor. I put the volume of the original audio down so the atmospheric sounds replace them.

I edited the dialogue audio to match the positions the characters are in. For example, in this screenshot, I have made a section of dialogue increase in volume as the character walks from further away in a room into the corridor. Ive made him louder as he walks into the corridor from the kitchen. I did the same thing for footsteps as the character walks away or towards the camera because it adds realism for the audience.

I have added in a ticking clock sound at the start of the film to add suspense and tension to build up the horror part of the film. I have also edited so the sound of the clock becomes more and more echoey as the character falls asleep.

All recorded sound effects are located in a separate folder.
