Official footage stored in folders for each scene.

Our first visual effect is a CCTV scene. We have made the camera footage in the style of CCTV camera. Starting by making the clip black and white, add on a grain noise with text 'CAM 1'.

Masking TV

Screen Shot 2020-01-16 at 09.25.59.png

Masking the TV was very easy. Firstly you copy the clip you want masked onto the TV and put it underneath the clip it will be put on. Then use the mark tool around the TV to cut out that section of the TV, ready for the clip to be inserted. The clip will then automatically be added onto the screen after you press invert to make sure the mask is within the screen.

I have included small pauses within the film before each scene to create an effect that causes the audience to question what will come up next. Gives a small amount of tension toward the impending doom.

Title Edit

I have edited the title to have a glitch, static effect to math the theme of the film. This was done with a wave warp effect.

Sound Edit

Music starts to play very quietly in the background of the film. I edited the sound with a paramedic equaliser to make the music sound distant and quiet.

As the film goes on, I've cut the music into parts. Each part is edited to increase in frequency and level of sound.

Earthquake

The earthquake scene was used with an effect that I had to download from the internet as Premiere does not include it.

We wanted the earthquake to fade in but there was no option to do this.

I added in text to give the audience the knowledge that the next scene/story is in the future. This was done with the text tool and has a very sudden end to show something important is going to happen.

The credits I made were created using the graphics tool. Each section had to written out and attached to each other so they are separated when rolling. The 'roll' button needs to be on for the text to move along the screen.
