Idea 2 - Sitcom
Roadtrip
For my second idea of a sitcom, i wanted to try and include an aspect which was different to other sitcoms. Most sitcoms include a house or work place as the main setting so I decided to use a campervan as the main setting. This allows us to explore new settings everytime they stop (gas station, park, on the road, e.t.c). The family will explore and interact in all these areas in a comedic way.
Characters:
Father - A very witty and happy man with lots of love to give. Always ready to help and find new things for the family to do. Comedic trait: Can be very clumsy.
Mother - Loves her children more than anything. Possible more than her husband. She takes good care of her mum who comes with the family. Comedic trait: Tries to be the cool mum.

Teenage Daughter- Can be very miserable and constantly arguing with her brother and father. She thinks a lof Of what the family do is pointless. Comedic trait-Sarcasm

Younger Son- The younger son loves his fathers ideas and is always ready for family outings. He s excited to be in the campervan and loves to annoy his sister. He too is caring and fun. Comedic trait: unexpected comments and conversation topics. Causes family to question what he actually knows.

Grandma - Loves to be with her grandchildren and can sometimes be more excited than the rest of her family. She is extremely caring. Her forgetfulness can sometimes be awkward because it cases he to ask the grandchildren questions that are inappropriate, forgetting they are young.
First Episode Idea: The father has decided to buy a campervan for the family to use. The rest of the family are not very happy to start and disagree with the decision. He finally persuades them and they take a trip to the nature reserve. The parents are in the front of the campervan, the children are walking around and the grandma is either sat down or using the kitchen as they drive. They bring lots of items on the trip that can cause issues such as the son using a drone in the campervan or the grandma trying to style her hair in the kitchen using a bunch of props. We see the comedic side of the show and gives the audince an idea of what the sitcom will include.
